“Water Quality in Cayos Cochinos: Results and Lessons Learned.”

On December 11, an online seminar will be held on water quality in Cayos Cochinos, a key archipelago for marine conservation in the Mesoamerican region. The event is part of the MAR Fund seminar series and will present results and lessons learned from scientific monitoring in the area.

Seminar Details
The seminar, titled “Water Quality in Cayos Cochinos: Results and Lessons Learned,” is geared toward professionals, students, and the general public interested in marine conservation. It will take place on December 11, from 9:00 to 10:00 am (Central America) and from 10:00 to 11:00 am (Quintana Roo).

The invited panelists will share insights on:

• Giving firsthand, up-to-date data on water quality in a marine site of high ecological value.
• It will also allow participants to learn about monitoring methodologies, conservation challenges, and lessons that can be applied to other protected areas in the region
