COP28: Coral Reef Related Events

The UN Climate Change Conference 2023 (UNFCCC COP28), will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 30 November until 12 December 2023, to build on previous successes and pave the way for future ambition to effectively tackle the global challenge of climate change.

A wide range of events related to coral reefs and ocean health will be held during COP28. ICRI has therefore compiled a comprehensive list of these events to facilitate collaboration and awareness within the coral reef community and beyond.

Lastly, the Coral Reef Breakthrough will be re-launched and live streamed on 2nd December 2023 at 16:30 (GST) during COP28. Please note the link to view the event online will be live soon and will be shown here.

Connecting All on Our Incredible Blue Planet. This online platform is dedicated to raising the visibility of the ocean and showcasing why the ocean matters in climate negotiations and to all life on our planet. It aims to democratise the ocean at COPs and promote unity and inclusivity, whilst increasing knowledge, commitment, and action for the ocean-climate nexus at key events during the UN Climate Conference (COP28) in Dubai. It is also a key tool in increasing transparency and equitable access to climate discussions and information.
